The A. writes a wide review of the book of Mario De Pasquale Libertà è partecipazione. After a brief description of the content of the book, he analyzes the usefulness of the work in three different areas: political, social and educational. The proposal of the book is a starting point from below to save the liberty and the democracy of the Western countries in a world where people are apathetic and egoistic with no interest in social problems. This idea also calls for the role of school education and the role of teaching philosophy.
